Certification
The Distinction of a Professional Coach
The Center for Coaching Mastery has earned the designation Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP) with the International Coach Federation (ICF). This means that completing the Certification Process will prepare you to earn both the CoachVille Certified Coach designation AND the ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) or Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation.
Is certification for you?
Earning a Certified Coach designation is a worthwhile accomplishment that could be valuable to you in the future. Many professionals enjoy earning meaningful certifications and this would certainly qualify. If you plan to become a professional coach, certification is essential.
How the Certification Process Works
Step 1) Complete Center for Coaching Mastery Curriculum. (Levels 1, 2 and 3)
You do this by:
a) Complete the classes and enter the attendance codes,
b) Pass the on line exams with a score of 80% or higher
c) Participate in six Coaching Practicum with written feed back
d) Apply for Graduation and supply the graduation paper work
Step 2) Complete Center for Coaching Mastery Certification (Level 4)
You do this by:
a) Sign up for the Certification Process
b) Obtain permission to record from two clients
c) Record two 30 minute coaching sessions (you can use our on line recording system which is very simple an converts your session into an mp3 file)
d) Two certifiers will review your coaching sessions and provide a score and written report. You must obtain a score of 5 out of 9 on each of the Core Competencies and a score of 80% on the Certified Coach Proficiencies.
e) Complete a feedback interview with one of the certifiers
f) If you do not pass the first time you can try again in 90 days at no additional cost. Lots of folks do not pass the first time. It is tough to pass.
g) If you do not pass on the second try you can keep trying for an additional fee of $400 each time. (our cost)
Step 3) Apply for Certification with the ICF.
The ICF has two paths to certiication: the portfolio track and the Accredited Coach Training track. Since the Center for Coaching Mastery is accredited, you will use the later - which is MUCH MUCH easier.
You do this by:
a) Complete and document your requred professional coaching hours
> 100 for the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) or
> 750 for the Professional Certified Coach (PCC)
b) Collect the required letters of reference
c) Complete the required paperwork. (eg. signing the letter of intention to follow the Code of Ethics)
d) Submit your paperwork to the ICF. There is no evalution or test because you have been certified by CoachVille in our accredited school.
That is IT! You are a Certified Coach.
